Welcome to the Hotel Booking Engine! This quick start guide will help you get everything set up in just a few minutes. By the end of this guide, you’ll have a fully functional booking system ready to accept reservations.

Step 1: Install the Plugin

Installing the Hotel Booking Engine is straightforward. Follow these steps:

  • Log in to your WordPress admin dashboard
  • Navigate to **Plugins > Add New**
  • Search for “Hotel Booking Engine”
  • Click **Install Now** next to the plugin
  • Wait for the installation to complete

Pro Tip: Make sure you’re running WordPress 5.8 or higher for the best compatibility.

Activate the Plugin

Once installed, click the Activate button. You’ll be redirected to the welcome screen where you can start the setup wizard.

Step 2: Basic Configuration

After activation, you’ll need to configure some basic settings:

Set Your Currency

  • Go to **Booking Engine > Settings > General**
  • Find the **Currency** dropdown
  • Select your preferred currency (e.g., USD, EUR, GBP)
  • Click **Save Changes**

The currency setting affects how prices are displayed throughout your booking system.

Configure Timezone

Setting the correct timezone ensures booking times are accurate:

  • Navigate to **Settings > General** in WordPress
  • Scroll to **Timezone**
  • Select your city or UTC offset
  • Save your changes

Step 3: Add Your First Property

Now let’s add a property that guests can book:

  • Go to **Booking Engine > Properties**
  • Click **Add New Property**
  • Fill in the required fields:

– Property Name

– Description

– Base Price per Night

– Maximum Guests

  • Upload at least 3 high-quality photos
  • Click **Publish**

Important: Make sure to set availability dates in the calendar before accepting bookings.

Your property is now live and bookable!
